With an elevation of 2958 metres, Mount Kidd is situated centrally within the provincial park of Kananaskis Country, between the Kananaskis River and the Kananaskis mountain range. The mountain has two peaks, the northern and southern peaks, although the northern side is the true summit as it has a higher difficulty rating of the two and offers the most spectacular views from the top. The views, coupled with the easy access, and the ability to make the scramble without requiring a permit are what make destination as popular as it is. The campgrounds and RV park offer a safe place to stay with some activities such as tennis courts, a wading pool, and of course, biking and hiking trails.
