Fremantle Harbour

This photograph captures the wondrous scene of fishing boats and yachts docked at the harbour situated at the mouth of the Swan River, right by the edge of the Indian Ocean. The blue sky manages to peek through the clouds just enough to illuminate the aqua blue of the fishing boats. From the harbour's establishment as a predominantly fishing-based facility from 1829, to its glory in hosting the America's Cup race in 1987.

This image perfectly captures the harbour's preserved rich maritime and cultural history while promoting the modern additions. The serenity felt by the viewers of this image perfectly mirrors the laid back attitude of the city members themselves
